Happy Freeze Up Moon (Oct. 24-Nov. 21) This is the time for passing between the veil. To travel through different realms of creation.  It is the month to develop keen sight. It is the time to pay attention to the extent of your own energy and your ability to create change. True change comes from within. When we magnetize our core we attract the resources necessary to support our dreams and desires. Malechite helps us to listen to the internal voice of spirit. Copper is a conductor of energy. The spirit world is at a higher frequency and we need an adapter in order to assimilate the energy and integrate it into our being. Thistle teaches us versatility and brings healing. The snake helps us to recognize when it is time to shed our skin and accept a higher expression of ourselves. It is in staying centered in our truth that we find the still point of power.

Special Thanks for help in getting my reflexology posters into Cottonwood Health Cottage in Greeley. Apparently, I have an advocate who was displaying one of my posters at the Ranch for the metaphysical fair. Margaret did not remember your name so please let me know so I can thank you with a pampering session. Always nice to have angels in the world. Thanks for adding a little wind to my sails/sales.

SPACE FOR LEASE
I am planning to move my reflexology practice into my home in January. "My Year of Yin" will be enhanced by the fact that I will be able to meet my clients needs in a more beautiful and fluid way. I am looking for someone who would like to lease the space I have been using down in Old Town. It is a small room, but all you have to pay for is your own space. If other colleagues come and go it does not effect the price for you. ($300.)The reception area seats 25  so it is a wonderful place for presentations. The location is fabulous with shopping and restaurants nearby. Call to make an apt. to see it. ~Suz

Happy Ducks Fly Moon (Sept.23-Oct.23)
This is the Month to focus on balance. The Equinox balances the seasons, night balances day. During these changing times things can feel as though they are heavily weighted. Consider that East-(birth/illumination) and West- (death/introspection) as well as North-(wisdom/abundance) and South-(Innocence, trust/relationship) hold the scales of our consciousness in right relationship. This month may create swings, rapidly going from one idea, concept, or mood to the opposite. Bloodstone Jasper helps us to hear the voice of limitation in our own mind and to choose to release it. Mullein teaches us the ability to both soothe and irritate. The raven allows you to understand your relation to groups and gives you the ability to soar and dive. It is a good time to develop your ability to demonstrate affection.

Join my friend, Rena Petty, in a workshop based on the book, Radical Forgiveness: Making Room for the Miracle. by Colin Tippings. Based on a Native American healing circle ceremony this largely non-verbal process preserves privacy and anonymity, yet has proven itself to be extremely powerful and effective in allowing people to forgive themselves and others, and find peace and happiness.  We walk the circle once to silently honor and witness our (story) of what happened. As we see others walk, too, we realize that we are not alone, and we honor their pain. After hearing a special Radical Forgiveness story, we walk the circle again and ask inwardly to come to a new place of forgiveness and peace. People leave with tears of joy and smiling faces. It is entirely non threatening and yet is quite likely to change your life forever.

Wellness Team
I am exploring the many gifts that Rena Petty brings to our community. I had my first facial with her and I was impressed with the process and with the effect. My face was glowing back at me in the mirror.  We have a plan in place to detox and nurture my skin.  She is also going to help me address my rapidly emerging mid-life beard with electrolyses. It was very relaxing and Rena made great, inexpensive, suggestions about how I can better care for my face. I have always been the type that washes my face with soap, combs my hair and teeth and scoots out the door before I have paused in front of the mirror. Now, I realize that taking time to care for my skin is an important way to nurture myself and connect with my personal soul. I have some discounted business cards at my office and out in the black mailbox in the East hallway. $45 for an introductory session.

I just returned home from ceremony at Mesa Verde with THOTH. They are the same people I was with at Big Horn Medicine Wheel. A prayer I have offered up over the past seven years was answered. My destiny is unfurling in magical ways. The work they are doing is  impressive and inspiring. I am planning to become involved down in Lima Peru. They provided the treasure hunt piece of finding Tito la Rosa who played on my CD. (His face is on their brochure.) It is time for me to meet up with my brother condor again and help in manifesting this dream.
You can help too! Every little bit is a bold statement that we love our mother, our indigenous relatives and the rain forest. So please, give generously. I will keep you posted on my dance with this symphony of souls. See attachments for details in what they have accomplished and what they plan to attain.

THE HEART OF THE HEALER FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT
"Preserving Indigenous Cultures; Restoring Our Earth"
By safeguarding the vast storehouses of aboriginal wisdom about plants, animals, healing traditions and sustainable management of diverse ecosystems we will enhance all current approaches toward environmental conservation.

THE HEART OF THE HEALER FOUNDATION VISION STATEMENT
THOTH is the catalyst for the emergence of a planetary family living in sacred relationship with our Earth Mother. By bridging the gap between indigenous cultural traditions and the modern world, THOTH brings together Gaia's diverse populations in harmony with the planet. Our vision includes birthing multiple world-renowned residential and ceremonial centers that model healthy communities and serve as a repository of traditional wisdom. In alliance with leading edge Earth stewardship organizations, THOTH offers innovative and pragmatic strategies for rainforest restoration initiatives. Our work strengthens earth-honoring cultures and positively impacts the socio-economic viability of indigenous people.  THOTH is Service-In-Action

August/September 2008 Newsletter

Happy Harvest Moon (Aug 23-Sept. 22nd)  This is the month to use good sense and champion fair decisions. Time to develop discrimination and perseverance. This is the time of the Equinox and balance. You can focus attention on developing the ability to analyze and gain confidence from practicality. The amethyst helps us to recognize justice and to bless the people and situations that bring up feelings of anger. Once seen in the light of truth we are able to recognize the ego's need to protect the false self. Each situation is like an elevator that brings the ego's manipulations closer to our awareness in order to be released. The violet helps us to penetrate to secret parts of our heart and soul. The bear nation helps us to sit in council and to use creative curiosity to solve problems involving the larger system.

I will be out of the office Sept. 4 - 9th doing ceremony in Mesa Verde. Please plan ahead to schedule your IonCleanse or reflexology apts. to work around these dates.

The Radical Forgiveness Circle was so powerful that I have decided to feature monthly events through the rest of the year. The process managed to bypass my overly analytical mind and went straight to my heart. It was a profound healing for all present. If you would like to participate in the Native Ceremony it will be offered two more times. After that, we will offer different activities that follow the simple five step process.

July/August 2008 Newsletter

Happy Ripe Berries Moon (July 23- Aug.22)  It is the month to connect with your heart center and show affection. This is the time to step into the love that you are and offer leadership. 8-8-08 is a portal for higher frequencies. Align your heart and mind that day to receive grace. In our culture, the mind has usurped the heart. The heart is the center for guidance. The mind is designed to get the ducks in a row so that we can manifest in 3-D. To create in the Fifth Dimension we must allow our hearts to inspire our actions. The Ripe Berries Moon helps to amplify one's courage and power. Garnet gives us passion for our life's purpose. Iron grounds our ability to manifest our passion. We learn about sweetness from raspberries who's thorns offer protection for the vulnerable parts of ourselves. The sturgeon shows people their depth and their need to teach. It is a month to guard against arrogance and a tendency to dominate any scenario.

I will be out of the office. Aug 1-13. Taking apt. Aug. 14th (book ahead if you can) I will be out of phone contact at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival. If you e-mail about apt. times I will get back with you upon my return. Please leave a few specific times that will work for you so I can line things up.

Happy Cornplanting Moon (May 21- June 20) This is the month to tune into the beauty within and around you. Beauty is the balance to chaos and it brings a sense of harmony. It is also a time for creativity to flourish. Remember that inspiration is what flows through us to create in 3-D. It is the time to notice any sharp edges to our personality and to become aware of our suspicions. It is important to plum the depths of our emotions and be wiling to share those feelings. Moss Agate helps to traverse the space from the head to the heart. From intuition to intellect. Keeping ourselves in balance and allowing each aspect to express. Yarrow helps to cleanse and strengthen the body. The deer demonstrates the beauty of ease and grace. This is the time for quick movement and rapid growth.

Happy Frogs Return Moon (April20-May20) This is the month to experience and express stability, persistence, patience and practicality. It is the time to develop our listening skills as we hear nature come back to life. This is the month to create or maintain the beauty that surrounds you. Chrysocolla helps to develop quickening with our intuition. We respond to the prompting of our own soul without hesitation. The Blue Camas teaches us how to sustain ourselves and others. The beaver teaches us to organize our environment and reinforces the value of hard work. This is a month to guard against being stubborn or stuck in our ways. It encourages us to allow our feelings to flow freely. Watch overindulgence.

It is time again to wake up to our dreams. I will be doing Medicine Wheel readings and reflexology. Consider taking time away to go deeper into the sub conscious world of metaphor and experience individual as well as collective healing. I had the privilege last time of watching Jeremy exercise "propriety," something he mentions often. It was an inspiring example of compassion. How he found the thread that lead to that moment of healing was a mystery. Profound. He is truly a gift of ancient and contemporary wisdom. For more information contact:

We will light the candle that is in harmony with the Flame Keepers. This group keeps the fire of Kildaire burning throughout the world 24-7. Come learn more about how to be a flame keeper, or just enjoy learning more and honoring such an incredible womyn.

Reiki I Workshop for Teens and Pre-teens:
Reiki and young people create magic!  The magic is in the mix of Reiki energy, color, sound and light.  Combining all that with our young teachers, guides and leaders brings forth a kaleidoscope of their abilities as divine co-creators.
The emphasis in this workshop will be on experience through art, sound and healing energy.  A Reiki attunement will be offered during this workshop.  Comfortable clothes are essential.  Snacks and refreshments will be available; please inform of any allergies.  Bring a sack lunch.
This workshop is for Teens and Pre-Teens. Because of the distance to Mountain Meadow Vista, parents are welcome to bring a book and read in the library, explore the grounds or be a silent observer.  Date:  Saturday, April 19, 2008.  Location: 14080 Buckhorn Canyon (approximately 4.9 miles from Masonville, CO).  Time: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Cost:  $50 (sibling discount $30), which includes guide book, certificate, all craft materials, and snacks.

Yesterday, by a vote of 49-to-16, the Colorado House of Representatives passed strong protections that will keep uranium mining pollution out of Colorado's unspoiled mountains, rivers and streams, groundwater and our magnificent open spaces.
Now, as the bill heads to the Colorado Senate, we're expecting the mining industry to pull out all the stops. We need your help to push past their opposition in the Senate and send this bill to the Governor's desk.
Please email your Colorado state senator and ask them to support House Bill 1161 to keep Colorado's waters, unspoiled mountains and open spaces safe from uranium mining pollution:
http://www.environmentcolorado.org/action/preservation/senate-uranium-bill-vote?id4=ES1
The allies of the mining industry attempted to strip critical environmental protections from this bill on the floor of the House. But thanks to the efforts of Environment Colorado and our allies -- and thousands of emails from supporters like you -- they failed.
But we're expecting companies like Powertech to rally their team for a last-ditch effort to defeat this bill in the Senate. Help us send the message to our state senators: Coloradans want to protect our streams, rivers and most treasured landscapes from mining pollution. Take a moment to email your senator today!

SCREENING OF THE GLOBAL HEART WORLDWIDE FILM PREMIERE
ON GLOBAL LOVE DAY MAY 1, 2008
GrandMother Drum: Awakening the Global Heart
It is our vision to unite one and all in a celebration of love and compassion. Join with GrandMother Drum International Peace Project and the Love Foundation to honor May 1st as Global Love Day as a symbolic day of unconditional love. We invite you to celebrate with us by Hosting the Premiere Screening of the new documentary film GrandMother Drum: Awakening the Global Heart. We call upon all people and all nations to gather together in the wisdom of peace and love.
GrandMother Drum: Awakening the Global Heart film documents how the healing sound of one giant heartbeat, gives people the power to reconcile and come together in peace and understanding. Seven years in the making, this documentary film tracks the journey of the large seven-foot, crystal inlaid GrandMother Drum. From a vision given in dream, to a year long building process in Chickaloon, Alaska, to traveling the world gathering thousands in worldwide drum vigils for peace and dynamic multicultural performances, the GrandMother Drum sends out her heartbeat of love from the grandmothers.
The large, seven-foot diameter, crystal inlaid, GrandMother Drum was built in 2000 and is traveling the world as an international symbol of the Universal Heart that connects all races and all cultures of the human family. The GrandMother Drum is a living, beating symbol from the hearts of the grandmothers that we are all one people, that Mother Earth is our one country, that love is stronger than fear and that peace and freedom are the birthrights of all humanity. The drum is the centerpiece of creating celebrations that honor the unique gifts and spiritual traditions of the diverse cultures of the human family with the theme: The Heartbeat of One Family, One Earth. Each host site will follow the Film Screening with a one hour Drumming Vigil to consciously focus on love and what it means to practice love in all areas of our lives. This will send a pulse of Love around the Earth which will be a beacon to call all Earths people on the path of the Heart.
Through the heartbeat of the drum we can strengthen the heart to love unconditionally all year long. Global Love Day is the universal recognition of our innate oneness through love. When we come from this limitless love we naturally and easily embrace ourselves and our fellow humanity. Opening our heart, we allow unconditional love to be our guide and compassion to be our gift to life.
Sound the HEARTBEAT of Love with us on Global Love Day!

Happy Budding Trees Moon (March 21- April 19)
This is the month to burst forth with intensity and catalyze change. You can experience the enormity of your own spirit. It is time to be fearless and optimistic. Whatever ignites you, talk about it. When you speak it, you resonate with it and increase your magnetic draw.  The Fire Opal brings the energy of fire, sun and moon. It helps to heal our sexuality. The dandelion is one of the most powerful medicines reminding us that there are no weeds. Each of us has something significant to offer. The red tail hawk brings messages from the spirit world and teaches us to fly higher to see with a greater perspective. Channel your energies this month and remember to be patient with yourself and others.

"Many Marianna Waters" Mother Drum associated with the Grandmother Drum is making the rounds these days. DREAM RETREAT WEEKEND
JEREMY TAYLOR AND BILLIE ORTIZ
MAY 9-11TH
COLORADO SPRINGS
It is time again to wake up to our dreams. I will be doing Medicine Wheel readings and reflexology. Consider taking time away to go deeper into the sub conscious world of metaphor and experience individual as well as collective healing. I had the privilege last time of watching Jeremy exercise "propriety," something he mentions often. It was an inspiring example of compassion. How he found the thread that lead to that moment of healing was a mystery. Profound. He is truly a gift of ancient and contemporary wisdom. For more information contact:

BIG WINDS MOON (Feb 19- March 20) Big winds all winter this year!  This month we experience our deep sensitivity, psychic abilities, yearning for Spirituality, hesitation to express our feelings and learning to ground on the Earth. Turquoise brings us protection and helps us to recognize the thoughts that fuel our illness. Plantain enhances our healing abilities and cougar tells us not to worry about the future. It is time to let go of fears that are obstacles or barriers. It is important to temper our sensitivity if it is causing us to be prone to melancholy or moodiness.

Happy Rest and Cleansing Moon. (Jan 20- Feb18) This is the month to develop intellect and communication skills. Do some exercises that require you to be clever. It is a good time to explore both the bold and the gentle aspects of your being. Focus on humanitarian efforts. Silver is a conduit of energy and helps psychic abilities flow. The Aspen tree teaches us about being interdependent in community. The otter teaches us how to balance work and play. This is the time to learn how to choose joy in every circumstance.
By now most of you know that the Grandmother Drum is coming!!!!! This is a once in a lifetime experience that I know will be deeply moving on both the individual and collective level. Half way through the performance they will open the drum for participation. The workshop involves creating a 3 foot community drum that will keep the heart beat of  the Grandmother strong in our area. Please help get the word out. If you can put up a flyer there are some in the mailbox at my back door in the East hallway. Thanks ~ Suzanne
